Application / Directions
DITEC Triton is ready to use and shall not be dilluted. Clean the surface with DITEC Teak Cleaner according to instructions prior to DITEC Triton Application. Make sure wear proper safety gear to protect eyes and hands.
1. Apply Triton 2.0 to a cool, clean, and dry teak or wood surface. DiTEC Triton may be poured directly onto teak or wood surface, applied with a foam or cloth roller from a pail, or applied from a trigger sprayer or hand pump sprayer.
2. Evenly spread out Triton on the teak or wood surface, ensuring the entire surface is evenly covered and saturated. Do not allow Triton to pool on the surface.
3. Allow one hour for drying and apply a second coat. The surface is safe to walk on once the Triton is visibly dry.
4. Allow Triton 2.0 to fully cure for 12 hours, before wetting the surface. Try to avoid applying outside if rain is likely. If a hard rain occurs within 12 hours of application, another light coat may be necessary for maximum bond.
For ongoing maintenance, teak decks should be washed weekly with DiTEC Boat Soap and a soft brush. To keep your teak deck looking new and fresh, clean with Teak Clean (depending on degree of teak graying, if any) instead of washing with soap. Use a Doodlebug polypropylene pad, instead of a deck cleaning brush and rinse throughly. Reapply Triton sealant. When following a regular preventative teak deck maintenance program, sanding the decks will only be required to remove surface damage caused by accidents and normal wear and tear.
